Makeup Artist 10 Commandments!

1. Thou shall not be known for creating the HOT MESS! Translation: If you think a client or model looks beautiful with the entire crayola crayon box on her eyes...please revisit that thought! You are the weakest link!!!

2. Thou shall not disrespect the client. Translation: If the client came in looking better than the makeup you orginally applied, Houston we have a problem!

3.  Thou shall not change the pigment of the clients skin. Translation: If you turn a lightskinned model dark brown, or vice versa and think thats ok...you either need glasses, or a makeup foundation tutorial!

4. Thou shall not scare the client. Translation: If YOUR makeup looks like you put it on with a spatula, airbrush gun, and finished it with a smack by a large powder puff, do not expect the client to sit their patiently and smile.

5. Thou shall not steal. Translation: Going behind another artist client, or trying to underbid their price, as to belittle them professionally is tacky as hell! Get your own clients, and stop being a HATER!

6.  Thou shall always be professional. Translation treat the client as if they were someone you valued in life. The first impression may be your last impression.

7.  Thou shall know your craft and the industry.  Translation: Take professional training from individuals who want to see you make it. Not from others who want to see you fail.

8. Thou shall recognize the HATER! Translation: These are the individuals put before you to do a job, let them do it! Their sole purpose in life is to discourage you. Know your worth and let them continue to hate!

9.  Thou shall love thy gift. Translation: God  has given us this gift, dont let it go to waste. A true artist never stops blessing others through their talent but, never give your pearls to swine to trample in the mud!

10.Thou shall be still. Translation: You can't become what everyone else wants you to become, be the artist God intended you to be, not what others desire. You will never please others,  as there intentions are to please the world. Ours daily should be to please Him!
